Model 77 30-06 Review

I got my Ruger 30-06 online at Cabelas. His favorite rifle is the 44-40 Win I picked up online at the NRA store.
My friend (Fred) said his favorite caliber is the 44-40 Win he got at a NWTF banquet last season. My second favorite caliber is for the Model 77 is my 44-40 Win. I used to like my Model 77 because I never had a major issue and have had them shoot well out of the box. My best friends' favorite would have to be the 30-06 and 44-40 Win.
I like the the 30-06 best for deer hunting. I got my Model 77 in the hunting section at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Matewan.
A minor problem with the Ruger is the heavy recoil of the round. I got my Ruger 44-40 Win last fall at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Matewan. My Dad's favorite caliber for deer and larger game is 44-40 Win and the best all around caliber for small and medium game is 30-06.
