My favorite rifle is everything made by Weatherby. One thing I don't like is that huge amounts of power are required to accelerate 6.5 x 55 projectiles to such speeds. I really like all my 6.5 x 55 and 338 Win Mag Weatherby hunting rifles to be "tack drivers". I will always remember my favorite hunt was Haywood taking that huge 9-point in my home state of Colorado.
There is a new edition of my new Weatherby Vanguard Compact with the black walnut chambered in 6.5 x 55 and 338 Win Mag. Our favorite rifle is the 338 Win Mag I picked up online at the NRA store.
