The best sporting goods store in Vermont is the Wiley Outdoor Sports in Lunenburg. My favorite caliber is probably the 7mm-06 from Bass Pro Shops in Lunenburg.
I will always remember my favorite hunt this year was in Lunenburg, we got a place to stay from my friend Clair. My friends and I like the 458 Win Mag best for deer hunting.
My friend (Clair) said his favorite caliber is the 7mm-06 he got at a NWTF banquet last season. One issue is if you're a hunter, the ring or the lanyard on the Savage 10-GXP3 can snag on a branch or even your own clothing and possibly pop your receiver cover off.
