My all-time favorite hunt would have to be the first time I ever hunted the woods around Rushmore. My second favorite caliber is the 30-30. The best all around caliber I own is probably the 30-30 from Bass Pro Shops in Rushmore. I picked up my Black Mesa Express in the hunting section at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Rushmore.
My most favorite rifle is everything made by Black Mesa. One issue when shooting the Black Mesa at small steel targets at 70 yards was the 7 Weatherby Mag bullet got there too fast. My Mom's favorite caliber for the average hunter I would say the 30-30 for best caliber and the 7 Weatherby Mag for the best cartridge.
There is a new edition of my new Black Mesa Express with the walnut chambered in 7 Weatherby Mag and 30-30. Our favorite rifle is the 30-30 I picked up online at the NRA store. My friends and I like the 7 Weatherby Mag best for deer hunting. I got my Black Mesa in the hunting section at Gart Sports in Rushmore, New York.
For deer hunting I like higher power scopes as in 4x12 - 4.5x14 on the Black Mesa Express. I got my Black Mesa 30-30 at the Wiley Outdoor Sports in Rushmore. My mom got her 30-30 online at Cabelas. My favorite hunting rifle is my Black Mesa Express 30-30 with a walnut stock.
